Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Public Relations Assistant to join our team in the education sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the public relations department in enhancing our organization's image and promoting our educational initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, creativity, and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Media Relations: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers in the education sector. Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials.

- Content Creation: Draft engaging content for various platforms including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and educational materials. Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s branding and messaging.

- Event Support: Support the planning and execution of public relations events, including press conferences, workshops, and community outreach programs. Assist in coordinating logistics, guest lists, and event promotion.

- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage. Prepare reports and presentations to summarize findings and provide insights to the PR team.

- Social Media Management: Assist in managing social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring online conversations related to the organization and its initiatives.

- Internal Communication: Collaborate with other departments to gather information and updates for internal communications. Help draft internal newsletters and bulletins to keep staff informed about PR activities and achievements.

- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the PR team, including organizing files, maintaining databases, and scheduling meetings. Assist with budget tracking and invoice processing as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role, preferably within the education sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in social media platforms and content management systems.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software is an advantage.
