Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Rehabilitation Specialist to join our dynamic team in the field of education. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the educational experience and outcomes for students with disabilities or special educational needs. This role is critical in providing tailored support and rehabilitation strategies to help students achieve their fullest potential within an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess students' physical, emotional, and educational needs through comprehensive evaluations and observations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized rehabilitation plans that align with students' specific requirements and educational goals.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, parents, and other stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment that fosters growth and development.
- Provide direct support and interventions to students, including one-on-one sessions, group workshops, and classroom integration strategies.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative rehabilitation techniques to promote students' academic success and personal development.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff and parents on best practices in supporting students with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and rehabilitation interventions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in rehabilitation, special education, and inclusive practices to continually improve service delivery.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make informed decisions regarding rehabilitation strategies.
- Advocate for students’ rights and needs within the educational system and promote awareness of disability issues within the school community.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in a rehabilitation role within an educational setting, particularly working with children and young adults with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, educational strategies, and special education laws and policies in the UAE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in using technology and educational software to assist in rehabilitation and learning processes.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.
