Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students within our educational environment, ensuring they can achieve their academic potential in a safe and healthy setting. This position is particularly unique as it is situated within a real estate context, where community engagement and family wellness are key components of our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

- Health Assessments: Conduct health screenings and assessments for students, including vision, hearing, height, weight, and other health evaluations as needed.

- Emergency Care: Provide immediate medical attention to students in case of illness or injury and develop emergency care plans for students with chronic health conditions.

- Health Education: Develop and deliver health education programs for students, staff, and parents, focusing on nutrition, hygiene, physical activity, and disease prevention.

- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications to students and maintain accurate records of medication administration and student health history.

- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student health and wellness. Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of health policies.

- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and confidential student health records and reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations and school policies.

- Health Promotion: Advocate for and implement initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles within the school community, including mental health awareness and support.

- First Aid Training: Provide first aid training and health education sessions for staff and students, ensuring that everyone is prepared to handle medical emergencies.

- Community Engagement: Liaise with local healthcare providers and organizations to provide resources and support for students and families, fostering a community-oriented approach to health and wellness.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license in the UAE.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a school nursing or pediatric nursing role.
- Strong understanding of child development and health issues affecting school-aged children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Proficient in using medical software and maintaining electronic health records.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in community health or public health settings.
- Knowledge of local health resources and services available to families in Al Ain.
