Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Science Laboratory Technician to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the research and development functions within the financial services sector, specifically focusing on data analysis, quality control, and laboratory management. This position requires a strong understanding of scientific principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments to analyze samples and data relevant to financial products and services.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition and calibrated accurately.
- Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data and produce detailed reports on findings, presenting results to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, analysts, and compliance officers, to support product development and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and inventory of laboratory supplies and materials.
- Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in laboratory technology and methodologies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a laboratory technician in a scientific or analytical environment, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards and quality assurance practices.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in financial services, particularly related to risk assessment and compliance testing.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data management software.
- Certification from a recognized professional body is a plus.
