Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Category Manager to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the Energy sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and managing the overall category performance. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, procurement processes, and supplier management in the energy domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for energy-related products and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the energy sector, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements that drive value and mitigate risks.

- Category Management: Oversee the entire category lifecycle, including planning, sourcing, and performance evaluation, to ensure optimal product and service delivery.

- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making and enhance overall category performance.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and engineering, to ensure alignment of category strategies with business objectives.

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, while actively managing supplier risk and performance.

- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track category performance and report findings to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) will be an advantage.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management or procurement, specifically within the energy sector or related industries.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as advanced MS Excel skills.

- Strong understanding of market dynamics, trends, and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
