Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in the Transportation and Logistics sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing expert environmental consultancy services that align with regulatory standards and best practices, ensuring sustainable operations within the industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that positively impact the environment while enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments, including impact studies and audits, specifically focused on transportation and logistics operations.
- Provide strategic advice on environmental policies and regulations relevant to transportation and logistics, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) that address potential environmental impacts and promote sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams, highlighting findings, recommendations, and compliance status.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented environmental strategies and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Stay current with emerging environmental trends, regulations, and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into consultancy practices.
- Engage with clients to understand their environmental needs and tailor solutions that meet their specific requirements.
- Provide training and support to junior consultants and team members to build capacity within the team regarding environmental practices and regulations.
- Participate in public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities as required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in environmental consultancy within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards specific to the UAE and the Gulf region.
- Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and audits.
- Proficiency in using environmental management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
