Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in the transportation and logistics sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of advanced machinery used in the logistics process, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards. This position requires a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor various types of machinery used in transportation and logistics operations, including but not limited to forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated sorting machines.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize processes and enhance productivity.
- Train and mentor junior machine operators, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of machine operations, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.
- Ensure that all safety measures are followed and that the work environment is compliant with industry standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and operational processes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machinery operations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machinery operation is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proficient in operating various types of machinery and equipment used in logistics operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to machinery operation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
