Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Merchandising Manager to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceuticals sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in merchandising and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our product offerings, optimizing inventory management, and driving sales growth through effective merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Merchandising Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies tailored to the pharmaceutical market, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential gaps in the product portfolio.

2. Product Selection and Placement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to curate and manage a diverse range of pharmaceutical products, including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and health supplements.
- Determine optimal product placement within retail environments to maximize visibility and accessibility.

3. Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast demand and adjust inventory strategies accordingly.

4. Sales Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on merchandising initiatives, sales trends, and market insights to senior management.

5. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead a team of merchandising specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that embraces innovation and continuous improvement.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive execution of merchandising plans and promotional activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and distributors, to leverage opportunities for growth.

7. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure all merchandising activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years and up to 8 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in merchandising software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
