Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, working within the consumer goods sector. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile technology and a strong background in developing high-quality mobile applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that enhance the user experience and drive engagement with our products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that align with business goals and customer needs.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and optimization.
- Debug and resolve issues that arise during the development and production phases, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development to continuously improve our applications.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture and design of mobile applications.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and other services, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality.
- Document development processes, code changes, and application features to maintain clarity and transparency within the team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile application development, with a focus on iOS and Android platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Java.
- Strong experience with mobile development frameworks and tools (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services integration.
- Familiarity with mobile development best practices, design patterns, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in the consumer goods industry or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of app monetization strategies and analytics tools.
- Understanding of mobile security best practices.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
