Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physician to join our dynamic team in the energy sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong medical background with a focus on occupational health, wellness, and preventive medicine in relation to the energy industry. This role will involve working closely with various stakeholders to promote health and safety standards, ensuring the well-being of employees in high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments of employees working in the energy sector, including routine health checks and pre-employment screenings.
- Develop and implement health surveillance programs tailored to the specific risks associated with energy operations, including exposure to hazardous materials and occupational hazards.
- Collaborate with safety and health professionals to create and enforce health and safety policies that comply with local and international regulations.
- Provide expert medical advice and guidance on health-related issues affecting employees, including injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs.
- Lead health promotion initiatives aimed at enhancing employee well-being, including stress management, fitness programs, and nutrition education.
- Participate in incident investigations related to health and safety incidents, providing insights and recommendations to improve workplace safety.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in occupational medicine and energy sector regulations, ensuring that company practices remain compliant and effective.
- Mentor junior medical staff and provide training on occupational health best practices and emergency response procedures.
- Engage in research and development efforts to assess the effectiveness of health programs and identify areas for improvement within the organization.
- Prepare and present reports and presentations to management and stakeholders on health trends, program outcomes, and recommendations for enhancing employee health and safety.

Qualifications:

- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in the UAE.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational medicine, with a focus on the energy sector or similar high-risk environments.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as best practices in occupational health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing health surveillance programs and health promotion initiatives.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making processes.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software systems.

Preferred Skills:

- Certification in Occupational Medicine (e.g., FACOEM, ACOEM).
- Experience in emergency medicine or trauma care.
- Familiarity with mental health and wellness programs in the workplace.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
