Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, dedicated to enhancing the educational experience through innovative technology solutions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products that serve educators and learners alike.

Key Responsibilities:

- Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories. Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.

- Automation Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Utilize industry-standard automation tools and technologies.

- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and development processes. Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.

- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

- Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to validate the scalability and responsiveness of applications. Analyze results and provide actionable insights for performance improvements.

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing with end-users and stakeholders to ensure that the delivered product meets their needs and expectations.

- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, test cases, and results. Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders, outlining testing progress and quality metrics.

- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, helping to enhance their skills and knowledge in testing methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on manual and automated testing.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing test automation frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of educational software applications and an understanding of the education sector is highly desirable.
