Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Set Designer Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the set design process for various projects, including virtual environments, multimedia presentations, and immersive experiences. If you have a passion for design and technology, along with a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the lead set designer to conceptualize and develop innovative set designs that align with project objectives.
- Assist in creating detailed sketches, plans, and renderings of set designs using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and solutions for set design challenges.
- Support the preparation and organization of materials and props needed for set construction and installation.
- Help to coordinate with various departments, including lighting, sound, and video production, to ensure seamless integration of all elements in the set design.
- Conduct research on design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance the quality and functionality of set designs.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and dismantling of sets for events, presentations, and other projects.
- Maintain an organized inventory of design materials and props, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available for use.
- Attend team meetings and provide updates on the progress of set design tasks, while also taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Set Design, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in set design, production design, or a related role in the IT or entertainment industry.
- Proficient in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial awareness.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling through visual design.
- Knowledge of current trends in technology and their application in set design is a plus.
