Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to oversee and manage our shipping operations in the education sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely shipping processes, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate the movement of educational materials. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of shipping regulations and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily shipping operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance with local and international shipping regulations.

- Coordinate and schedule shipments of educational materials, including textbooks, digital resources, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to schools, universities, and other educational institutions.

- Manage a team of shipping and logistics personnel, providing training and support to enhance performance and efficiency.

- Maintain accurate shipping records, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping logs, ensuring all documentation is complete and complies with regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize shipping routes, minimize costs, and enhance delivery times.

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement department to ensure adequate stock levels for shipping operations.

- Address and resolve any shipping issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction.

- Develop and implement best practices for shipping processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce shipping costs.

- Prepare and present regular reports on shipping metrics, including delivery times, shipping costs, and operational performance to management.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to shipping and logistics to enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- A minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the education sector.

- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and logistics management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in using shipping and logistics software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
