Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Store Detective Assistant to join our team in the Education sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining the integrity of our store through meticulous surveillance, loss prevention strategies, and customer service excellence. This role is essential in safeguarding our educational materials and ensuring a secure shopping environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor store activities through surveillance systems and regular floor patrols to identify suspicious behavior and prevent theft.
- Collaborate with the Store Detective to investigate incidents of theft, loss, or fraud, documenting findings and producing detailed reports.
- Assist in training and educating store staff on loss prevention techniques and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, ensuring accuracy and accountability in stock levels.
- Engage with customers and staff to promote a safe shopping environment, addressing any concerns or queries related to store safety.
- Work closely with local law enforcement and security personnel when necessary to report incidents and follow up on investigations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Support the Store Detective in conducting undercover operations and surveillance as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information related to investigations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in criminal justice or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail security, loss prevention, or related role.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and staff.
- Proficient in using surveillance equipment and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to theft and loss prevention.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with security technology and systems is an advantage.
