Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Sustainability Specialist Assistant to join our dynamic team in Al Ain. This role is essential in supporting our sustainability initiatives within the Information Technology sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sustainable practices, have a passion for environmental stewardship, and a keen interest in leveraging technology to promote sustainability. The Sustainability Specialist Assistant will work closely with the Sustainability Specialist and various departments to implement projects and strategies that reduce environmental impact and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to energy consumption, waste management, and resource utilization to identify areas for improvement.

- Project Support: Support the development and implementation of sustainability projects, including renewable energy initiatives, waste reduction programs, and green IT strategies.

- Reporting: Help prepare reports and presentations that communicate sustainability metrics and progress to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

- Research: Conduct research on best practices in sustainability and emerging technologies that can enhance the organization’s environmental performance.

- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote sustainable practices and integrate sustainability into IT operations.

- Training and Awareness: Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to educate employees about sustainability initiatives and practices.

- Regulatory Compliance: Support compliance with environmental regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization meets its sustainability objectives.

- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of sustainability programs, helping to set targets and track progress.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Information Technology, or a related field.

- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related area.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with sustainability reporting tools.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to promoting environmentally responsible practices.

- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED) is an advantage.
