Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Toxicologist to join our dynamic team in the Financial Services sector based in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing the risks associated with toxic substances and their potential impact on financial products and services. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive toxicological evaluations of chemicals, substances, and materials related to financial products, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Analyze data from various sources, including scientific literature, regulatory databases, and laboratory findings to assess potential risks.

2. Advisory Role:
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams on toxicological concerns related to financial investments, product development, and risk management.
- Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to develop strategies to mitigate financial exposure to toxic substances.

3. Research and Analysis:
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in toxicology and their implications for the financial services industry.
- Conduct research and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and strategies for addressing toxicological risks.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, clients, and internal teams, to convey toxicological assessments and recommendations.
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and workshops to explain toxicological concepts and findings to non-technical audiences.

5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the organization complies with relevant toxicology-related regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of required documentation to regulatory bodies.

6. Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to team members on toxicological principles and practices.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the organization by promoting awareness of toxicological issues.

Qualifications:

- A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in toxicology, ideally within the financial services industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of toxicological principles, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with financial risk assessment and management processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency in scientific software and data analysis tools.

Work Environment:

This position is based in Abu Dhabi, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. The role may require occasional travel for meetings and workshops.
