#### Job Summary:
The Transit Police Officer in the Information Technology division plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the public transportation system in Dubai. This position involves utilizing advanced technology and data analytics to monitor transit systems, prevent crimes, and respond to incidents efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, combined with expertise in information technology, to enhance the effectiveness of transit policing.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- Surveillance and Monitoring: Utilize various surveillance technologies, including CCTV and other monitoring systems, to oversee transit areas and ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to incidents occurring within the public transport system, including theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities, while employing IT systems for rapid reporting and documentation.
- Data Analysis: Analyze crime trends and patterns using data analytics tools to develop proactive strategies for crime prevention and enhance overall security measures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other law enforcement agencies, transit authorities, and community organizations to promote safety initiatives and share intelligence.
- Technology Implementation: Assist in the deployment and maintenance of technological solutions that improve transit security, including mobile applications for reporting incidents and suspicious activities.
- Public Engagement: Conduct outreach programs to educate the public on safety practices and the use of technology in reporting incidents.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations of criminal activities within the transit system, compiling evidence and preparing reports for prosecution.
- Training and Development: Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on the latest technologies, trends in transit policing, and best practices in law enforcement.
#### Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in law enforcement or security, with at least 2 years of experience in a technology-focused role.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in law enforcement or information technology will be an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools, surveillance technologies, and various software applications related to transit security.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the public and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
