Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vendor Operations Program Manager to join our team in Dubai, focusing on the construction sector. This role is pivotal in managing vendor relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects through effective vendor management. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the construction industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in vendor operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring that performance standards are met and exceeded. Conduct regular evaluations and audits to assess vendor capabilities and compliance with contractual obligations.

- Procurement Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and budget requirements. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in vendor selection and management.

- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Review and approve contracts before execution.

- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors. Address any issues or delays proactively to minimize project disruptions.

- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor performance. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting vendor performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with vendor operations and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that all vendors adhere to safety and quality standards in line with industry best practices.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on enhancing vendor operations and procurement processes. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams on best practices in vendor management.

- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new vendors and emerging market trends. Stay updated on industry developments to ensure the company remains competitive in vendor selection and management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor operations management, procurement, or supply chain management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
