Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Video Game Designer Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This unique position merges the exciting world of video game design with the critical field of pharmaceuticals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of engaging and educational video games that aim to enhance awareness and understanding of pharmaceutical products and health-related topics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborative Design Support: Assist the lead game designers in brainstorming and conceptualizing game ideas, ensuring that they align with pharmaceutical themes and educational objectives.

- Asset Creation: Help in the creation of game assets, including characters, environments, and UI elements, using graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.

- Game Prototyping: Assist in the development of game prototypes by implementing basic mechanics and features using game development software (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).

- Research and Development: Conduct thorough research on pharmaceutical topics to ensure that game content is accurate, informative, and relevant to the target audience.

- Quality Assurance: Participate in playtesting sessions, providing feedback on game functionality, user experience, and overall engagement. Document bugs and issues for the development team to address.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized documentation of design processes, ideas, and project progress. Prepare reports for team meetings and project updates.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and educational outreach, to ensure that games meet strategic objectives and resonate with the intended audience.

- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends in both video game design and pharmaceuticals to bring fresh ideas to the team and enhance game development processes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in video game design or related roles, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and projects.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and basic knowledge of game development tools (Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, storytelling, and user experience design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for video games and a keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
