Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Weather Forecaster to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the integration of meteorological data with advanced information technology systems. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about weather patterns, data analysis, and the application of technology in enhancing forecasting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze meteorological data and models to produce accurate weather forecasts for Dubai and the surrounding regions.
- Utilize advanced IT software and tools to interpret atmospheric data, satellite imagery, and radar readings.
- Collaborate with IT specialists to develop and maintain weather forecasting systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Produce daily and weekly weather reports, highlighting critical weather events and trends that may impact local businesses and residents.
- Present weather forecasts in a clear and engaging manner, both verbally and through written reports, to various stakeholders including government agencies, businesses, and the public.
- Monitor and assess the performance of forecasting models and suggest improvements based on data analysis and emerging technologies.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in meteorological research and technology, and implement best practices within the team.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance personal and team skills in both meteorology and IT applications.
- Respond to urgent weather-related inquiries and provide timely updates during severe weather events.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in weather forecasting or a related role, with a strong emphasis on the use of information technology in meteorological applications.
- Proficiency in weather forecasting software, data analysis tools, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in developing and executing training programs related to weather forecasting technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with regional climate trends and weather patterns in the Middle East is an advantage.
