Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine Consultant to join our team in Sharjah. This unique position blends a deep understanding of wine with the latest information technology systems to enhance our wine-related product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both the wine industry and IT solutions, enabling them to provide exceptional service to our clients and drive innovative projects within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Wine Expertise:
- Provide expert advice on wine selections, including varietals, regions, vintages, and food pairings.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in the wine industry, including emerging regions, new producers, and innovative wine-making techniques.

2. Client Consultation:
- Meet with clients to discuss their wine needs, preferences, and budget.
- Conduct tastings and educational sessions to enhance client knowledge and appreciation of wine.
- Develop tailored wine programs for corporate clients, events, and private collections.

3. Technology Integration:
- Collaborate with the IT department to develop and implement technology solutions that improve the client experience, such as wine inventory management systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Utilize data analytics to assess client preferences and trends to optimize wine selections and offerings.

4. Training and Development:
- Train staff on wine-related topics, ensuring they possess the knowledge necessary to assist clients effectively.
- Create educational materials, presentations, and workshops to promote wine knowledge within the organization.

5. Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for wine sales and partnerships.
- Analyze competitor offerings and pricing strategies to ensure our offerings remain competitive.

6. Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team in achieving sales targets by providing expert knowledge and support during client meetings.
- Participate in wine-related events, tastings, and exhibitions to promote our offerings and expand our client base.

7. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all wine products meet quality standards and are stored and handled correctly.
- Work with suppliers to maintain high-quality inventory and resolve any product-related issues.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the wine industry, with a strong understanding of wine regions, varietals, and tasting techniques.
- Previous experience in an IT-related role within the wine or hospitality sector is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications, such as WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) or similar, are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with wine management software and CRM systems.
