Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Art Restorer Assistant to join our team in the healthcare sector in Sharjah. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of art and health, where you will assist in the preservation and restoration of artworks that have significant cultural and historical value. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead art restorer in evaluating, documenting, and restoring artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media.
- Conduct preliminary assessments to determine the condition of art pieces and develop restoration plans under the guidance of the lead restorer.
- Utilize various techniques and materials for cleaning, repairing, and restoring artworks, ensuring adherence to conservation standards.
- Help in maintaining an organized workspace, including the proper storage and handling of artworks to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to identify artworks that may need restoration or conservation due to environmental factors or wear and tear.
- Participate in the documentation process by creating detailed reports and photographic records of each restoration project.
- Assist in the preparation of artworks for exhibitions or display within the healthcare facility, ensuring they are presented in optimal condition.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and materials in art conservation through research and professional development opportunities.
- Support the team in educating healthcare staff and patients about the importance of art in promoting well-being and healing.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Conservation, Art History, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in art restoration, conservation, or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of art restoration techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment related to art restoration.
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a healthcare environment or familiarity with the role of art in healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of preventive conservation and best practices in art handling and storage.
