Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Construction Manager to join our team in Sharjah, specializing in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. This position involves assisting the Construction Manager in the planning, execution, and completion of various construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality control, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Construction Manager in the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate project development and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and budgets, and ensure all records are up to date.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment needed for construction activities.
- Support the procurement process by assisting in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Assist in developing and implementing safety programs and protocols to promote a safe work environment for all site personnel.
- Monitor labor productivity and report any discrepancies to the Construction Manager.
- Contribute to the preparation of project schedules and timelines, ensuring all milestones are met.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in construction management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the UAE.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
