Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join our dynamic team in Dubai’s Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management of our farm operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This position requires an individual with a passion for agriculture, strong organizational skills, and a keen understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Support:
- Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing daily farm operations, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Monitor crop growth and health, providing recommendations for improvements based on observations and data analysis.

2. Logistics Management:
- Coordinate the transportation and distribution of agricultural products, ensuring timely delivery to clients and markets.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize routes and schedules for product delivery.

3. Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, materials used, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Assist in managing inventory of fertilizers, seeds, and other farm supplies, ensuring timely reordering and minimal operational disruptions.

4. Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train farm workers, ensuring adherence to best practices in farming and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive working environment, motivating team members to achieve productivity goals.

5. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to farm operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for farm staff.

6. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on farm operations, crop yields, and logistics performance for the Farm Manager.
- Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in operations and logistics.

7. Sustainability Practices:
- Assist in implementing sustainable farming practices and exploring innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Promote environmentally friendly initiatives within the farm and logistics operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in farm management or agricultural operations, with a focus on logistics and transportation.
- Strong understanding of farm machinery and equipment, as well as agricultural best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
