Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Baggage Handler with a focus on Information Technology to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This unique position combines traditional baggage handling responsibilities with a strong emphasis on technology integration in airport operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for logistics and an understanding of how IT solutions can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of baggage management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Baggage Management: Efficiently and safely handle passenger baggage from check-in to loading onto aircraft. Ensure the proper tracking and documentation of baggage using IT systems.
- Technology Utilization: Operate and maintain baggage handling technology, including automated systems, barcode scanners, and tracking software. Troubleshoot minor technical issues as they arise.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately input baggage data into IT systems to ensure real-time tracking and reporting of baggage status. Generate daily reports on baggage handling operations for management review.
- Collaboration: Work closely with ground staff, IT teams, and airline representatives to ensure seamless baggage flow and address any operational challenges.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and security protocols related to baggage handling and IT operations. Participate in training sessions on safety measures and technology use.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with baggage inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory levels of baggage handling equipment and technology tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in baggage handling or logistics, with at least 2 years in a technology-focused role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using IT systems and software related to baggage tracking and management. Basic troubleshooting skills for IT-related issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy luggage and stand for long periods. Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the job.
- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
