Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Boat Mechanic to join our team in Dubai, specializing in the maintenance and repair of boats used for pharmaceutical logistics and transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine mechanics, with an emphasis on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on a fleet of boats, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in boats and provide effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections and routine checks to assess the condition of engines, hulls, and other systems.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule maintenance activities that minimize downtime and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation and upgrading of boat systems, including engines, electrical systems, and navigation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to boat performance and safety.
- Stay updated on the latest marine technologies and best practices in boat maintenance and repair.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics and other staff as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in marine mechanics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years and up to 7 years of experience in boat maintenance and repair.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a variety of boat systems, including propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of marine safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with pharmaceutical logistics or specialized transport is a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to marine operations.
- Familiarity with computer diagnostics and maintenance management software.
