Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our manufacturing team based in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will assist in various carpentry tasks, contributing to the production of high-quality wooden products and structures. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist skilled carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of wood structures and fixtures, including cabinetry, furniture, and frameworks.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Measure and mark materials for cutting, shaping, and assembling according to specifications and plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly and safely.
- Support with the setup and dismantling of workstations, scaffolding, and other necessary equipment.
- Help in the selection of wood materials and supplies for various projects, ensuring quality and suitability for intended use.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of existing wooden structures, identifying areas needing attention and executing necessary fixes.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance carpentry skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a carpenter assistant or in a similar role preferred.
- Basic understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment.
