Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate College Professor in the field of Agriculture to join our academic team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a desire to engage in research and community service. Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses related to agriculture, including but not limited to agronomy, horticulture, soil science, and sustainable agricultural practices.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum and course materials that align with current agricultural trends and technologies.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance student learning experiences.
- Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback to foster academic growth.

2. Research:
- Conduct original research in the field of agriculture and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Supervise and mentor students in their research projects, encouraging independent inquiry and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with local and international institutions, agricultural organizations, and industry partners on research initiatives and projects.

3. Service and Outreach:
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees to contribute to academic governance and policy development.
- Engage with the local agricultural community to promote outreach programs, workshops, and seminars that address regional agricultural challenges.
- Provide expert consultation and support to local farmers and agricultural businesses to enhance sustainable practices and productivity.

4. Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in agricultural science and education through continuous professional development and participation in relevant conferences and workshops.
- Actively participate in academic and professional organizations related to agriculture.

Qualifications:

- A Ph.D. in Agriculture or a closely related field is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Demonstrated research experience with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong knowledge of current agricultural practices, technologies, and sustainability issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
