Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Manager to oversee and enhance our transportation and logistics operations in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in alignment with the company’s objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of the logistics market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Development:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives and growth targets within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.

2. Business Development:
- Identify potential clients and develop strong relationships to expand the customer base.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing structures to secure new business and maintain existing accounts.

3. Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients and vendors to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal requirements.
- Oversee the execution of contracts and monitor service delivery to ensure adherence to agreed standards.

4. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for commercial activities, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to assess the performance of commercial initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

5. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional development.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment of commercial and operational goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.

7. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing transportation and logistics operations in the UAE.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with commercial activities, implementing best practices to protect company interests.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years and up to 8 years of experience in commercial management within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commercial relationships and driving business growth.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
