Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team in Dubai, specializing in Information Technology projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes, along with proficiency in estimating software and methodologies. This role involves assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation:
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Information Technology construction projects.
- Break down project costs into labor, materials, equipment, and overhead to provide detailed estimates.

2. Bid Preparation:
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to clients and stakeholders.

3. Data Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analyze historical data to benchmark costs and identify trends in construction pricing.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in calculations.

4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to understand scope and objectives.

5. Documentation:
- Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, changes, and project correspondence.
- Prepare and present detailed reports outlining estimated costs, variances, and justifications.

6. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in construction estimating.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in estimating.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within Information Technology projects.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, Bluebeam).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
