Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit and Collections Manager to join our dynamic financial services team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit risk management, collections strategies, and team leadership to drive efficiency and ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organization while fostering positive relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Credit Management:
- Evaluate and analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the risk associated with extending credit to individuals and businesses.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures that align with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess credit limits and terms for clients, making adjustments as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.

- Collections Strategy:
- Design and execute effective collections strategies to minimize overdue accounts and ensure timely collections.
- Oversee the collections process, including sending reminders, negotiating payment plans, and resolving disputes.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless client experience while managing credit risk.

- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit and collections professionals to achieve departmental goals and enhance their skills.
- Set performance targets for the team and monitor progress through regular reporting and performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the collections team.

- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on credit risk exposure, collections performance, and aging accounts.
- Analyze trends and patterns in collections and credit risk to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize data analytics tools to enhance decision-making processes related to credit assessments and collections strategies.

- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations governing credit and collections practices in the UAE.
- Identify potential risks related to credit policies and collections processes and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIMA) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and collections best practices.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analytics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills and a customer-centric approach to collections.
