Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Counselor Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting credit counseling services for patients, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to navigate financial aspects related to their healthcare needs. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a basic understanding of financial principles and healthcare billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in evaluating patients’ financial situations and provide them with appropriate counseling regarding payment options and financial assistance programs.
- Maintain and update patient financial records accurately, ensuring all information is kept confidential and secure.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance coverage, and payment plans, providing clear and comprehensive information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation and information required for financial assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for internal and external audits as needed.
- Educate patients about their financial responsibilities and the importance of timely payments, while also providing guidance on managing medical expenses.
- Facilitate communication between patients and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and clarify coverage details.
- Attend team meetings to discuss patient cases, share insights, and contribute to the development of financial counseling strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and changes in healthcare financing to better assist patients and enhance counseling services.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial counseling, healthcare billing, or customer service role is required.
- Strong understanding of healthcare financial processes, insurance terminology, and billing practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with healthcare billing software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
