Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Energy Manager to join our transportation and logistics team in Ajman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing energy efficiency strategies aimed at optimizing energy consumption across our operations. This position plays a vital role in reducing operational costs, enhancing sustainability practices, and ensuring compliance with local and international energy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Energy Management Strategy:
- Develop and implement an energy management strategy that supports the organization's goals in transportation and logistics.
- Identify opportunities for energy savings and develop action plans to achieve energy efficiency targets.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze energy usage data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on energy consumption, cost savings, and performance metrics to senior management.

3. Project Management:
- Lead energy efficiency projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure energy initiatives are integrated into operational processes.

4. Sustainability Initiatives:
- Promote sustainable practices within the organization, including the use of renewable energy sources and energy-efficient technologies.
- Educate employees about energy conservation measures and create awareness around sustainability issues.

5. Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international energy regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on energy legislation and industry best practices to recommend necessary changes to company policies.

6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with energy service providers, utility companies, and other stakeholders to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
- Evaluate and recommend energy-efficient products and services to enhance operational efficiency.

7. Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the energy budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for implementation of energy initiatives.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management, preferably within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices, including renewable energy solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with energy management software and tools is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED accreditation) are highly desirable.
