Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Epidemiologist to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing public health initiatives within the education sector by analyzing health-related data, conducting research, and implementing evidence-based strategies to improve health outcomes for students and staff. The Epidemiologist will work collaboratively with educational institutions, health organizations, and government entities to promote health education and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret epidemiological data related to health trends within educational settings. Utilize statistical software and tools to support research and reporting.

- Research and Reporting: Design and conduct epidemiological studies to investigate health issues affecting students and educational staff. Prepare comprehensive reports, articles, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

- Program Development: Collaborate with educational institutions to develop and implement health education programs and interventions aimed at preventing disease and promoting wellness among students and staff.

- Policy Guidance: Provide evidence-based recommendations to educational leaders and policymakers to inform health-related policies and practices within schools and universities.

- Community Engagement: Work with local communities, health organizations, and government agencies to raise awareness about health issues and promote health literacy among students and families.

- Training and Workshops: Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops for educators and healthcare personnel on public health topics, data collection methods, and the importance of epidemiological research.

- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish metrics and systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of health programs and interventions implemented in educational settings.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field. A doctoral degree is an asset.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in epidemiology, public health research, or a related field, preferably within the education sector.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS) and database management.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with research methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Familiarity with health education principles and experience in program development and evaluation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and engage with diverse populations.
