Job Description:

We are seeking a highly creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the Aerospace and Defense sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of design expertise and a deep understanding of the technical requirements specific to this industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to merge fashion with functionality, creating apparel that meets the rigorous standards of performance, safety, and style.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design Development: Create original designs for uniforms, protective wear, and fashion-forward apparel specifically tailored for the Aerospace and Defense industry. Focus on integrating advanced materials and cutting-edge technologies.

- Trend Research: Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends, industry innovations, and technological advancements in materials that can be applied to the Aerospace and Defense sectors.

- Technical Specifications: Translate design concepts into detailed technical specifications, including garment construction, fabric selection, and color palettes. Ensure that all designs comply with safety standards and ergonomic requirements.

- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product developers, and marketing teams to ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on project goals.

- Prototyping and Sampling: Oversee the prototyping process, working with sample makers to bring designs to life. Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fit and performance.

- Client Interaction: Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Aerospace and Defense sectors.

- Sustainability Practices: Incorporate sustainable practices into the design process by selecting eco-friendly materials and advocating for responsible production methods.

- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our product line.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design processes, including sketches, technical drawings, and production timelines.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in fashion design, with a preference for candidates who have worked within the Aerospace and Defense industries or similar sectors.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and technical skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD applications.
- Excellent understanding of textiles, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to Aerospace and Defense apparel is a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
