Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Safety Manager to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food safety regulations, quality assurance, and agricultural practices, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality from farm to table. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with local and international food safety regulations and enhancing our commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all agricultural operations comply with local, national, and international food safety regulations, including UAE laws, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other relevant standards.

- Food Safety Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive food safety management system (FSMS) that encompasses all aspects of production, handling, and distribution of agricultural products.

- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of agricultural practices, processes, and facilities to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement in food safety.

- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs for staff on food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and quality assurance to promote a culture of food safety within the organization.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of food safety practices, audits, and compliance reports. Prepare and present findings to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.

- Supplier Management: Evaluate and monitor suppliers to ensure they adhere to food safety standards and practices. Collaborate with suppliers to improve their safety performance where necessary.

- Incident Management: Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, or recalls, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging food safety issues, and advancements in agricultural practices. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance food safety measures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety management within the agriculture sector.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance standards, and best practices in agricultural production.
- Experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food safety management systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with food safety management software is an advantage.
- Certification in food safety or quality management (e.g., Certified Food Safety Manager) is a plus.
