Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geochemist to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing geological and chemical data to support our innovative projects in telecommunications infrastructure development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of geochemistry and technology, contributing to the advancement of telecommunications systems through informed geological assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Geochemical Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive geochemical analyses of soil and rock samples to assess the suitability of sites for telecommunications infrastructure.
- Utilize advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation to analyze and interpret data, including XRF, ICP-MS, and other relevant methodologies.

2. Site Investigation:
- Plan and execute field investigations to collect geological samples and evaluate potential sites for telecommunications installations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess environmental impacts and geotechnical conditions relevant to project locations.

3. Data Interpretation:
- Analyze and interpret geochemical data to identify trends and make recommendations to inform project planning and site selection.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, methodologies, and implications for telecommunications projects.

4. Research and Development:
- Stay current with the latest advancements in geochemistry and telecommunications to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in site assessment processes.
- Contribute to research initiatives aimed at optimizing the integration of geochemical data into telecommunications planning.

5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all geochemical assessments comply with local and international environmental regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of environmental impact assessments and documentation for regulatory submissions.

6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and environmental scientists to support interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project strategy discussions, offering geochemical insights and expertise.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geochemistry, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in geochemistry, preferably within the telecommunications or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and software for geochemical analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards related to telecommunications projects in the UAE.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
