Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hand Therapy Specialist to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, focusing on the energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hand therapy, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for patients with hand and upper extremity conditions resulting from workplace injuries, trauma, or other related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or dysfunctions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and specific conditions.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, splinting, and exercise programs to enhance recovery and function.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and the importance of adherence to therapy plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with advancements in hand therapy practices and participate in continuous professional development opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and interns in hand therapy techniques and best practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist in the United Arab Emirates.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hand therapy or related rehabilitation settings.
- Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills with an ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in the energy sector or with industrial injuries is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ergonomic assessments and workplace injury prevention strategies.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is an advantage.
