Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operations in the transportation and logistics sector. This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes for various transportation and logistics projects.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs to the maintenance team.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to execute transportation and logistics plans effectively.
- Load, unload, and transport materials as required, ensuring proper handling and placement to avoid damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment operations, including hours worked, types of materials handled, and any incidents that occur during operation.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced operators and crew members as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety awareness within the team.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a transportation and logistics environment.
- Valid heavy equipment operator's license and other relevant certifications as required by UAE regulations.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices in heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and equipment manuals.
- Good physical condition and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy loads and working in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GPS and other technological systems used in heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety compliance standards specific to the UAE.
