Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Hospital Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Dubai. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients. The successful candidate will not only provide expert medication management but also collaborate with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Medication Management:
- Oversee the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications for inpatients and outpatients.
- Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication therapy, including side effects and contraindications.

2. Clinical Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized medication regimens.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Conduct medication reconciliation and provide recommendations for therapy adjustments.

3. Education and Training:
- Educate pharmacy staff, medical staff, and patients on new medications, protocols, and developments in pharmacotherapy.
- Provide training and support to pharmacy interns and residents.

4. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Participate in pharmacovigilance activities and contribute to the development of clinical pathways and guidelines.
- Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.

5. Inventory Management:
- Manage the pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, stocking, and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with suppliers and distributors to ensure timely delivery and availability of medications.

6. Telecommunications Integration:
- Utilize telecommunications technology to enhance patient care and medication management.
- Participate in telepharmacy services to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in remote areas or during off-hours.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D preferred).
- Valid license to practice pharmacy in the UAE.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting, preferably with exposure to telepharmacy.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacology and therapeutic guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software and telecommunications tools.
