Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Librarian Technician to join our team in Dubai within the energy industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organization and management of the company's library resources, ensuring easy access to information for employees and researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Librarians to classify, catalog, and index library materials related to the energy industry
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the library's collection, ensuring it meets the needs of employees and researchers
- Provide reference and research assistance to library users, helping them locate and retrieve information as needed
- Assist in the implementation of library policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Help in the digitization and preservation of library materials, ensuring easy access to digital resources
- Assist in the planning and execution of library events and workshops to promote information literacy and research skills among employees
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to ensure the library collection remains current and relevant

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience working in a library or information management role
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems and classification schemes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and library management software
- Knowledge of the energy industry is a plus
