Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation and storage of construction materials and equipment to ensure timely project deliveries. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of logistics processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the transportation of materials and equipment to and from project sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules.
- Manage inventory levels, including tracking stock movements, maintaining accurate records, and conducting regular inventory audits.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless logistics operations, resolving any issues that may arise during the transportation process.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, including shipping manifests, delivery schedules, and customs documentation as required.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to assess logistical needs and develop efficient transport plans.
- Monitor and evaluate logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the logistics process.
- Utilize logistics software and tools to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports on logistics performance.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new logistics staff and provide ongoing support as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation management, and inventory control.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of local regulations and customs procedures in the UAE is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different construction sites as required.
