We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumberyard Manager to oversee our lumberyard operations in Abu Dhabi. As the Lumberyard Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the lumberyard, including inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the lumberyard, including receiving, storing, and distributing lumber products
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Supervise a team of lumberyard staff, providing training and guidance as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity in the lumberyard
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate lumberyard activities with overall company goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the agriculture industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of lumber products and industry trends
- Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental policies
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
