Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Mall Security Officer to join our security team in a busy shopping mall environment located in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure shopping experience for all visitors by enforcing security protocols, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents as needed. The candidate should possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitoring and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the mall premises, including parking areas and access points, to ensure the safety and security of customers, staff, and property. Utilize CCTV systems effectively to monitor for any suspicious activities.

- Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, alarms, or incidents, including theft, vandalism, and disturbances. Take appropriate actions to resolve situations and ensure the safety of all individuals present.

- Access Control: Manage and monitor access points, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas. Issue visitor passes and maintain a visitor log as necessary.

- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries, offering directions, and addressing any concerns or issues. Build rapport with mall visitors to promote a welcoming environment.

- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and all activities during shifts. Prepare incident reports as required and communicate significant issues to management.

- Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed. Assist in investigations by providing necessary information and support.

- Emergency Preparedness: Participate in safety drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for various emergency situations. Be knowledgeable about emergency protocols and procedures.

- Policy Enforcement: Enforce mall policies and procedures, including rules regarding prohibited items and behavior. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in security or a related field, preferably in a retail or mall environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications (e.g., CPR, first aid) are a plus.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in using security technology, including CCTV and access control systems.
- A valid UAE driving license is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects when necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and potentially confront challenging situations.
