Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our manufacturing operations in the aerospace and defense sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, team leadership, and project management, coupled with a deep understanding of the aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the manufacturing operations team, ensuring efficient production processes that meet quality, safety, and delivery targets.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and customer requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding quality assurance, safety, and environmental regulations. Oversee the implementation of quality control measures and audits.
- Resource Management: Manage manpower, equipment, and materials to optimize production efficiency. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor manufacturing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on production goals and project objectives.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and operational challenges to senior management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with aerospace and defense regulations, ensuring that all manufacturing processes adhere to local and international compliance standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
