Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Planner to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for optimizing inventory and sales performance. As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a key role in developing and executing merchandise strategies that align with our business goals and enhance our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management: Develop and manage inventory plans that align with sales forecasts, market trends, and business objectives, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.

- Sales Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to create accurate sales forecasts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adjust forecasts based on changes in market conditions.

- Merchandise Strategy: Develop and execute merchandise strategies that maximize sales and profitability, including product assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.

- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on inventory performance, sales trends, and product turnover rates. Provide actionable insights to senior management.

- Supplier Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products, negotiate terms, and address any supply chain issues that may arise.

- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences, and use this information to inform product selection and inventory decisions.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment on promotional plans, product launches, and inventory management.

- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the merchandise budget, ensuring that all planning activities are executed within financial constraints.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in merchandise planning or inventory management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with merchandise planning software or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and industry trends is a plus.
