Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mining Technician to join our educational institution in Dubai, focusing on providing hands-on training and education in mining operations and technologies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our educational programs by assisting in the delivery of practical training, conducting research, and maintaining equipment used for instructional purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Hands-on Training: Assist in the design and implementation of practical training sessions for students in mining operations, including the safe use of mining equipment and technologies.

- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of mining equipment used in educational programs to ensure safety and functionality.

- Field Studies: Collaborate with faculty to organize and conduct field studies and site visits to various mining operations, ensuring students gain real-world experience.

- Research Support: Aid faculty and students in conducting research related to mining technologies, environmental impacts, and sustainable practices within the mining industry.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all training and operational activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety among students.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, equipment usage, and safety inspections, and prepare reports as required.

- Student Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them in understanding mining concepts and encouraging their professional development.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other educational staff and industry partners to enhance the curriculum and ensure alignment with current mining practices and technology advancements.

Qualifications:

- A diploma or degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mining operations, preferably in an educational setting.

- Strong understanding of mining equipment, processes, and safety protocols.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and mining-related software.
