Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team in the transportation and logistics sector in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to support individuals in overcoming physical, emotional, and developmental challenges related to their work environment. This role is crucial for enhancing the functional abilities of employees within the organization, thereby improving workplace efficiency and promoting overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing customized treatment plans designed to enhance the functional capabilities of clients in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Conduct assessments and gather data on clients’ abilities and challenges, contributing to the development of effective therapeutic interventions.
- Help clients with exercises and activities designed to improve their physical capabilities, coordination, and overall mobility.
- Educate clients on the use of adaptive devices and equipment to facilitate their daily activities and enhance their work performance.
- Monitor and record client progress, documenting changes and improvements, and reporting findings to the supervising occupational therapist.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients, including coordination with safety officers and human resources.
- Provide guidance and support to clients in understanding the importance of occupational therapy in managing their health and wellness within the workplace.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in occupational therapy.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for therapy sessions, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Assist in administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and managing inventory of therapeutic supplies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a transportation and logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and technology.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the workplace.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
