Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Orthopedic Assistant to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support orthopedic professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, with a strong emphasis on integrating technology into orthopedic practices. This role combines clinical expertise with an understanding of telecommunications solutions, assisting in the enhancement of patient management and orthopedic services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist orthopedic surgeons and specialists in various procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Maintain and organize orthopedic equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are sterilized and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize telecommunications technology to manage patient records, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Support the implementation of telehealth services by assisting in virtual consultations and monitoring patient progress remotely.
- Conduct initial patient assessments, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for surgeries, including positioning and ensuring comfort.
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery and educating patients on rehabilitation and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and treatments in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with orthopedic practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare, physical therapy, sports medicine).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Orthopedic Assistant or in a related healthcare position.
- Familiarity with telecommunications technologies and their application in healthcare settings.
- Strong understanding of orthopedic procedures and rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
