Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patent Examiner Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dubai, focusing on the consumer goods sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patent examination processes, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of intellectual property protections for innovative consumer goods. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist Patent Examiners: Support patent examiners in reviewing patent applications related to consumer goods, conducting preliminary searches for prior art, and analyzing the novelty and non-obviousness of inventions.

- Documentation Management: Organize, maintain, and update records of patent applications and related documents. Ensure all files are complete and accurately reflect the status of each application.

- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on existing patents and publications to assist in the evaluation of new applications. Summarize findings and present them clearly to the patent examiners.

- Communication: Liaise with inventors, attorneys, and other stakeholders to gather additional information and clarify issues related to patent applications. Provide updates on application status as needed.

- Technical Support: Assist in the preparation of examination reports, office actions, and other official correspondence related to patent applications. Ensure that all communications are clear and comprehensible.

- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality review processes to ensure compliance with established patent examination standards and protocols.

- Continual Learning: Stay updated on industry developments, patent law changes, and technological advancements in the consumer goods sector. Participate in training and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a patent examination or intellectual property-related role, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information and legal documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using patent databases and research tools. Familiarity with patent examination software is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
